community outreach project

In the fall of 2020, we started meeting our neighbors. By simply walking around the church, knocking on doors, and talking to people in Nacogdoches, we have been able to build relationships and meet the needs of our community.

The sherrers

We met the Sherrer family on one of our neighborhood walks and it was evident they were a special family. Karen is a nurse working on the front lines of the pandemic and they take care of their adult daughter with special needs.

The Sherrer's let us know that their home was in need of repairs. Fredonia Hill reached out to Mission Nac. Mission Nac has been able to bring in a team to make upgrades and repairs at the Sherrer home and provide help to this sweet family.

how you can help

If you would like to help minister to this family, click one of the links above to send a note or letter of encouragement, a prayer, or help provide a meal to The Sherrers or the construction team this week.

Notes and prayers can be submitted electronically or dropped off at the church office.

Meals are being coordinated by Ashley Russell. Please email her at the link above for details.

weekly meal deliveries

Fredonia Hill is building a team of people to deliver boxes of groceries to people in our community each week. Volunteers will go to HOPE Food Pantry on Tuesday evening or Thursday morning to pick up the food box then deliver it to assigned homes in the community.

If you are interested in delivering meals to other families in our neighborhood,
