fh kids

FH Kids provides a safe and loving environment for children to encounter the Lord. We take safety seriously and we do everything possible to make it a safe place for your family. Since we believe parents are God’s chosen primary faith trainers for their children, we will partner with you to help equip you to lead your children to grow in their faith. Our FH Kids staff is here to serve you!

Preschool

Preschool kids (infants - PreK-5) meet in the Nursery with leaders who provide loving care for them and begin to teach them biblical truths. Our focus with preschool kids is centered on three foundational biblical truths: God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. We teach these truths through age-appropriate Bible stories, songs and other fun activities.

LEARN: What will my child learn each week?

For kids age two and up we focus on teaching them these three basic truths: God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. We work through stories and characters from the Bible to help children learn these truths.

LEADERSHIP: Who will my child’s leader be?

We have a team of leaders who serve each week in our FH Kids rooms. Leaders serve weekly, providing a consistent presence to develop relationships with parents and children to help ensure their safety and knowledge of a loving God. Room assistants serve either weekly or bi-weekly and help to facilitate learning and care, providing personalized help to children. All volunteers are background checked and attend several ongoing volunteer trainings each year.

SAFETY: Are there steps in place to assure my child’s safety?

Fredonia Hill is dedicated to creating safe environments for children. Upon check in you will receive two stickers, each containing a 4-digit code. One sticker will go on your child, the other you will keep. You must present  your sticker that matches your child’s sticker for your child to be released to you upon pick-up. *Please note-your child can not be released to you without the corresponding sticker.

CHECK-IN: How do I check my child into the preschool area?

There is a check in station ion the counter right outside of the preschool area. If you are new to Fredonia Hill, simply let one of the check-in volunteers know and they will get you signed in.

PAGING: What if my child needs me before the service is over?

If at any point during the service your child needs your assistance, the 4-digit code you received upon check-in will appear on the screens in service.

Elementary

Elementary Kids (K - 5th Grade) meet each week in Kidville and have a couple different learning environments. Check under the “Activities,” question below for more information about what these unique environments look like.

LEARN: What will my child learn each week?

Elementary kids concentrate on 3 basic truths: I need to make the wise choice (wisdom), I can trust God no matter what (faith), and I should treat others the way I want to be treated (friendship). Children learn those 3 basic truths through a different life app each month.

LEADERSHIP: Who will my child’s leader be?

We have a trained team of leaders who serve our Elementary children in Kidville. Small Group Leaders serve weekly, providing a consistent presence to develop relationships with parents and children to help ensure their safety and knowledge of a loving God. All volunteers are background checked and attend several ongoing volunteer trainings each year.

ACTIVITIES: What activities will my child participate in on a given day?

* Sundays - Sunday School (9:30-10:30pm)

In the Sunday School hour, children will learn through various hand-on activities like icebreakers, songs, crafts and video teachings. These activities help kids discuss and learn the Bible, while also giving them a tangible way to remember what is being taught. The curriculum we are using is 252 Kids by Orange. For great parent resources and ideas, check out Studio252.tv

* Wednesdays - Children In Action (6:00-7:30pm)

Children In Action (CIA) is a fun time to reinforce what we learned on Sunday. During this time, we will have large group Bible stories, play games and a missional focus. CIA is a great opportunity for kids to learn & live out the great commission!
